This is a retirement gig where passion now leads the way in the creation of wall art in his Huntersville/Lake Norman Studio. Not your typical artist with 25 years outside sales, industrial management and his own team building business .
Michael has an Art Degree from Kent State University where he was taught how to paint on canvas and use a camera in the old fashioned dark rooms. Today he travels with his cameras and uses Technology for his darkroom and acrylics and resins to complete the process on canvas. Words like Mixed Media and Photo Artist come to mind when placing labels on his art.
When you look through this extensive portfolio note that every painting can also be a print on glossy paper. This is useful because many people have existing frames with glass and need a specific size. The costs are way lower with a print vs. a canvas painting that has been embellished with acrylics. Each and every painting will be unique with acrylic paints on canvas. Think of Michael’s photography as underpainting and the acrylics he mixes as the texture while the glazing is the sealer that binds it all together.
Colors, Styles, Textures and size are all controlled by you the buyer unless Michael already has made the art and it’s in his studio (currently over 200 pieces)
