The famous Armenistis Lighthouse of Mykonos, known locally as “Fanari,” has watched over the island’s northern coastline for more than a century. In creating this work, I focused on the emotional atmosphere of the scene—the feeling of standing on a windswept cliff overlooking the endless Mediterranean. There is a quiet power in a lighthouse. It does not compete with the sea; it exists in harmony with it. The waves move around it, the winds shape it, and the changing light transforms it from morning to evening. It becomes a reminder that beauty often comes from endurance.
